Rainer arrives at the outskirts of town. He feels strange to be leaving his home, but he has to deliver a message to the wizard. 02:33

He comes to the entrance of a cave; and is filled with a sense of foreboding. Nevertheless, 00:17

he enters. The cave is dark but the way is lit by fireflies. After the caves is a 01:00

wooded area. It is approaching dusk as he walks thru; the closeknit trees seem to echo every sound he hears. As the sun vanishes, he reaches a 02:48

green lake; he jumps in and swims feverishly, for the lake is filled with electric eels. After a short while, however, he is overcome with a sense of euphoria, and he sees that just up ahead is the road into the village. 03:25
6.
He walks along the quiet streets; he is hungry and getting tired. 01:30

When he arrives at the house the occupants are celebrating; they welcome him in, feed him and pour him glasses of wine. 00:48

He meets Sofia, and in talking to her forgets all about his message to the wizard. 01:24
9.
Rainer and Sofia sneak out of the house; they go to the fountain at the center of the village and dance and think only of each other. 01:20

They kiss. 01:06

Sofia sadly says that she must go home; if her husband sees her she will be beaten, or worse. Rainer walks back to the lake; he sits and thinks about Sofia. Suddenly, 01:26

the wizard appears. 00:09

Rainer remembers the message and tries to speak, but the wizard raises his arms to the heavens, and a tremendous storm starts up. Dust and leaves fly everywhere, the sky begins to hail, and the lake leaps up in wave upon wave. 03:31

Rainer, who is standing next to the lake, is sucked under... 00:57
15.
Rainer drowns, and with him sinks the deadly message to the wizard... 00:58
